The South Downs Way. A personal journey.
This picture explains in large part why we did it. Err - started it. We haven't finished yet...
These are some notes on an amatuerish, poorly planned but hugely enjoyable ramble for two people who had talked about walking the South Downs Way for years. We had a Border Terrier called Barney for 13 years, and we promised him that he would walk the South Downs Way. Sadly, he died before we did it, so in a way, this is in memorium for "The Barnzer". The reader will have to excuse too many references to dogs and Border Terriers in particular.
